VMI is launching a range of mechanical extract ventilation (MEV) systems!

VMI has developed unique mechanical extract ventilation systems designed to meet real project constraints and practical installation needs. Every detail has been designed to simplify installation, save time on maintenance and ensure reliable, durable products. Developed by our engineers with the support of installers, they embody simplicity and robustness and efficiency. We are proud to present the Modulvent range.

Maximum adaptability

VMI’s Modulvent mechanical extract ventilation systems adapt to all installation constraints. Each unit comes with 4 anti-vibration mounting brackets and a compact unit with up to 7 Ø125 connections, allowing maximum flexibility in installation configurations. Connections are simplified using Ø80 or Ø125, plug-fit, airtight adapters. The kitchen vent can be connected to any of the 7 branch connections, offering true on-site convenience. For maintenance, the motor on a patented mounting plate can be removed without tools, ensuring quick and easy servicing. Modulvent units are designed to last and come with a 5-year warranty. Every Modulvent unit offers distinctive benefits!

Within the mechanical extract ventilation range, I’m looking for…

The Modulvent Auto

VMI’s Modulvent Auto is a MEV unit designed to provide efficient and consistent airflow in residential spaces, especially during renovation projects. This mechanical extract ventilation system continuously renews indoor air by removing stale air, odours and moisture from daily activities. It helps reduce humidity and the feeling of stuffiness, while maintaining healthier indoor air quality.

Designed for dwellings with up to 4 bathrooms + 1 kitchen, the Modulvent Auto relies on continuous extraction without complex adjustments. It delivers up to 249 m³/h and features integrated flow regulators, ensuring controlled ventilation tailored to the needs of wet rooms.

Comfort is a key feature, the unit operates ultra-quietly, with a declared noise level below 15 dB(A) at 2 metres from the kitchen vent on low speed, a real advantage for those seeking a discreet everyday solution.

The Modulvent Auto truly stands out when it comes to installation. Its compact unit fits anywhere and integrates easily in attics, suspended ceilings or narrow utility areas. Its modularity is enhanced by 7 Ø125 mm branch connections that can be converted to Ø80 mm, offering maximum flexibility to connect to existing ductwork and simplify on-site installation. The kitchen vent can be connected to any of these connections, reducing installation constraints and ensuring greater flexibility across all home layouts. This level of flexibility has made it one of the most modular mechanical extract ventilation units in its category.

Maintenance has also been designed to be simple and fast. The motor is mounted on a patented detachable plate, removable without tools, making servicing easy and extending the life of the installation. To protect your investment, the Modulvent Auto comes with a 5-year warranty. A VMI mechanical extract ventilation unit designed to adapt, install easily and last, while providing efficient ventilation every day.

The Modulvent Hygro

VMI’s Modulvent Hygro is a humidity-controlled MEV unit designed to provide ventilation that adapts to the real needs of the dwelling. Unlike a constant flow system, it automatically adjusts airflow based on humidity levels, ventilating more when needed, particularly in wet rooms such as bathrooms, toilets or kitchens, where moisture and odours build up quickly. This humidity-controlled operation ensures healthier, more comfortable indoor air throughout the seasons, while avoiding excessive ventilation when it is not required.

The Modulvent Hygro combines performance and compact design. Its size allows easy installation in attics, suspended ceilings, or narrow utility areas, and its design simplifies on-site installation. It serves homes with up to 4 wet rooms, delivering airflow up to 249 m³/h, meeting typical residential needs while ensuring operation, with a declared noise level starting from 20 dB(A) at 2 metres from the kitchen vent. Like all Modulvent units, it has been designed for easy and hassle-free maintenance.

For projects where energy efficiency and system optimisation are priorities, VMI also offers two Modulvent Hygro Power-Save versions, equipped with a multi-speed EC motor for very low consumption, compliant with RE2020 requirements. The Modulvent Hygro Power-Save M is designed for new homes or renovations with short duct runs and moderate pressure drops. It supports configurations with up to 6 wet rooms, airflow up to 343 m³/h, and a declared noise level starting from 18 dB(A) at 2 metres from the kitchen vent, combining humidity-controlled operation control with energy efficiency.

The Modulvent Hygro Power-Save L is designed for more demanding installations, with long duct runs and higher pressure drops. Combining humidity-controlled operation with very low energy consumption via its EC motor, it delivers enhanced performance, with airflow up to 381 m³/h for homes with up to 6 bathrooms.

With this range, VMI provides tailored solutions for every project, from small to large homes, and from simple to complex duct networks.

A connected mechanical extract ventilation system, a completely new approach!

VMI’s Modulvent Smart mechanical extract ventilation system is set to launch before the end of the year, bringing ventilation into a new dimension. This new connected unit has been designed to offer simple and precise control directly from the VMI+ application. Settings, monitoring and control via the app, the Modulvent Smart transforms day-to-day ventilation management, making it more intuitive and more efficient. A clearly future-oriented solution, designed to meet today’s expectations in terms of comfort, modernity, and usability, with a strong promise: a fully controllable, connected ventilation system.

A complete range, developed in Couëron by our engineers.

A word from our Research & Development Director, Louis Stephan:

“We wanted a truly high-quality product, with carefully selected plastics, motor and accessories.
The key point was installation flexibility. The goal was to create a versatile unit, capable of adapting to all configurations, wall-mounted, in suspended ceilings, or attics, depending on the constraints of the dwelling. And above all, to make duct management simple, with up to 7 branch connections available and full flexibility to connect the kitchen vent to any of them. For easier installation and a more reliable air distribution system, airtight adapters ensure excellent duct retention while remaining compatible with all types of ducting.
Finally, maintenance needed to be simple and intuitive. Direct access to the motor and fan scroll, with no clips and without fully dismantling the unit, allows for quick servicing and extends the system’s lifespan.”

VMI is proud to have turned these requirements into a practical and fully developed solution. Modulvent is the result of a true team effort, driven by close collaboration between our engineers and installers, to deliver the best in mechanical extract ventilation systems.
